Some of the new 2-car Russian built sets have been allocated to Niš depot to work services to Prokuplje and beyond. Services on the line were curtailed during the late 1990s following the outbreak of war over Kosovo - originally the route connecting Niš with Pristina. However once per day a service operates most of the way through to Merdare close to the Kosovan border.
On 28 September 2013 set 711.013 (with 711.014 closest to the camera) pauses at Kuršumlija one of the largest towns on the line whilst working train 7821, 07:24 Niš to Merdare. The train will reverse here.Camera location | View this and other nearby images on: OpenStreetMap |
