History

Before World War II, while in the interbellum Poland the street was named ulica Zygmuntowska (Sigismunds' Street) after the kings of Poland and Grand Dukes of Lithuania, Sigismund I the Old, Sigismund II Augustus, and Sigismund III Vasa.
