1 | Family Guy reruns will air on Adult Swim for the first time since 2021 after striking a non-exclusive deal for the rights to older episodes. Warner Bros. Discovery had previously lost those rights to The Walt Disney Company after its license had expired and Disney had acquired most of 21st Century Fox in 2019, including Family Guy's production company 20th Television. The programming block played a role in its revival, which began airing in 2005 and is still in production to this day, with new episodes airing on Fox. (with Adult Swim formerly airing new episodes of the series next-day in a TV-MA form without Fox edits, cuts or censoring). Reruns will begin on Adult Swim with a three-day marathon starting January 1, and will air on its primetime lineup on weekdays afterwards. | |
