Berbara, Akkar District

Berbara (Aakkar) (Arabic: برباره (عكار)) is a village in Akkar Governorate, Lebanon.

The population is mostly Alawite.

History

In 1838, Eli Smith noted the village as Burbarah, located east of esh-Sheikh Mohammed. The inhabitants were Alawites.
