Bracken Ridge State High School

Bracken Ridge State High School (BRSHS) is a public co-educational secondary school located in the Brisbane suburb of Bracken Ridge, Queensland, Australia. It is administered by the Queensland Department of Education, with an enrolment of 640 students and a teaching staff of 61, as of 2023. The school serves students from Year 7 to Year 12.

History

The school opened on 23 January 1967, under the name Nashville State High School, which changed to its current name on 25 September 2000. It was the first school to power a classroom around the clock using just renewable energy in 2018.

Demographics

In 2023, the school had a student enrollment of 640 with 61 teachers (58 full-time equivalent) and 31 non-teaching staff (22.6 full-time equivalent). Female enrollments consisted of 311 students and Male enrollments consisted of 329 students; Indigenous enrollments accounted for a total of 10% and 9% of students had a language background other than English.
