Bukovice (Náchod District)
Bukovice is a municipality and village in Náchod District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 400 inhabitants.
Name
The name of the village is derived from the adjective buková meaning beech mountain, hillside or pasture. In historical sources, the name appears in the forms Bukowicze (1395, in a list of land records taken around 1706), Bukowicze (1406) and "w Bukowiczy" (1546).
