Cewice
Cewice [t͡sɛˈvit͡sɛ] (German: Zewitz) is a village in Lębork County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Cewice. It lies approximately 13 kilometres (8 mi) south of Lębork and 59 km (37 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk. It is located within the ethnocultural region of Kashubia in the historic region of Pomerania.
During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), in 1939, the Germans murdered Polish priest, activist and founder of the Polska Żyje Polish resistance organisation, Edmund Roszczynialski , in the village.
