Cotherstone is a rural locality in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia. At the 2021 census, Cotherstone had "no people or a very low population".

Geography

The central and eastern parts of the locality are mountainous and undeveloped with Paddy Peak in the south-east of the locality (22°49′55″S 148°19′25″E / 22.8319°S 148.3236°E / -22.8319; 148.3236 (Paddy Peak)) at 459 metres (1,506 ft) above sea level. The lower eastern part of the locality is used for crops and grazing on native vegetation.

Education

There are no schools in Cotherstone. The nearest primary and secondary schools are Dysart State School and Dysart State High School in neighbouring Dysart to the north-east.
