Dalanzadgad Thermal Power Plant

The Dalanzadgad Thermal Power Plant (Mongolian: Даланзадгадын Дулааны Цахилгаан Станц) is a coal-fired power station in Dalanzadgad, Ömnögovi Province, Mongolia.

History

The power plant was commissioned in 2000 after it was constructed by Hyundai Engineering. In 2011, the power plant was expanded. On 18 December 2011, the turbine of the plant was broken down and the power plant stopped working on 10 January 2012.

Technical specifications

The power plant has an installed generation capacity of 6 MW.

Finance

The power plant was constructed with a cost of US$9.3 million, which was lent as soft loan by the Government of South Korea.
