Dhadhor

Dhadhor (Dharhor) are a subgroup of the Yadav caste in India. Some live in the region between Etawah and Mainpuri in the state of Uttar Pradesh. They are a tribe of Aheers in Benares and Gorakhpur divisions respectively. They are reckoned in the Tushreeh-ul-Akwam amongst the Doab Aheers. The Dharhor Ahirs claim to have been the first settlers of the Senapur village (Jaunpur), and it may be that they had the responsibility of protecting the original Thakur settlers. They are the secondmost represented subcastes of Yadavs in East Uttar Pradesh.
