Don Bosco School Bandel

Don Bosco School, Bandel is an all-boys, English medium school in Sahaganj, Hooghly, West Bengal, India. It was established in 1978 and run by the Salesians of Don Bosco which is a congregation within the Catholic Church. The school operates under the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. It is one of the international Don Bosco "family of schools". It is one of the best schools in Hooghly District.

Extracurricular activities

  • Bosco Xprezns is an inter-school fest hosted during July.
  • Bosco Quirous is an inter-school quiz competition hosted during July-August.
  • The school has also won several inter-school quiz competitions like the Limca book of records, Bournvita quiz contest and the Maggi inter-school quiz competition.
  • Bosco Bizcon is an inter-school educational event organised in April-May every year. This event is business related and is associated with Commerce. Some of the various events are Bidding Wars etc.
  • Bosco Eureka is an intra-school education event organised in October-November every year. This event is associated with Science. Some of the various events are Quizzes ,Science Exhibition, Powerpoint Presentation etc.
  • Rectors And Parents Day for Junior Section or Senior Section are held every year alternately in November-December.
  • Sports day for Junior Section or Senior Section is held every year alternately in November-December.
  • Bagless days are held once in every two months in which students can enjoy . There are various sports as well as educational events .
  • Football and Cricket Competition of various classes and houses are held every year.
