Muthukuzhivayal is a place in Kanyakumari district. It is a great place for health and relaxation. It is about 4400 feet above sea level. It is situated at a distance of 60 km from Nagercoil and close to Pechiparai Reservoir. Gold was thought to be found here in the 19th century. It was later realized that it was not true. Good clear water (Pure & Natural Water) is available in this place. There are some buildings that indicate that the kings who ruled the region in the past had this place as their resting place. You can enjoy the scenery from the top of this mountain.
The elephant Arikomban that was translocated from Theni district Cumbum forest to Kalakkad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve. the movement pattern of Arikomban is approximately 3km per day. A few elephant herds with calves have been seen to be moving in close proximity to Arikomban. The tusker was sighted at Muthukuzhivayal area.
