Elk Prairie Township is one of sixteen townships in Jefferson County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2010 census, its population was 725 and it contained 350 housing units.
Geography
According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.66 square miles (94.9 km), of which 27.47 square miles (71.1 km) (or 74.93%) is land and 9.19 square miles (23.8 km) (or 25.07%) is water. The township is centered at 38°10'N 88°59'W (38.170,-88.987).
