메사가 위치한 블록 앞의 가로는 화재 시 소방차가 진입하기 위해 마련된 도로로 7~9m의 넓은 폭을 가지고 있다. 대지가 아닌 도로이기에 점포들은 고정되지 못하고 임시정착물의 형태로 언제라도 이동할 수 있는 형태를 갖추고 있다.
