Finishing back where I started the rail trip 9 days before, this is the station at București main airport Henri Coandă , formerly Otopeni. Opened in late 2020, the non-electrified branch comes off the main line from București to Urziceni and terminates approximately 100 metres from terminal 1 building. Train operations were originally split between state run CFR Călători plus private Transferoviar Călător and Regio Călători. The latter have since pulled out. Despite only one train every 40 minutes, it's a welcome link and far better than local taxis or buses into the city centre.
Seen here is CFR Călători set 962033 ready to work back to București Nord with train RE10756, 13:12. Date taken, 16 September 2021.
