File:1938 In Temagimi, Ontario.jpg

"August 7, 1938. Temagimi street scenes" typed on the negative envelope. (sic, Temagami)

I looked up Dad's diary for the date: "We went right through North Bay and onto the Ferguson Highway. We found that much of it has been rebuilt on a new location and it stretched ahead wide and broad - but gravel. We kept on going.. After aways, we reached the old road, as yet not rebuilt. The going was rougher and slower. But on we plowed. We had a most excellent meal in a restaurant"

I was amazed at all the cars, signs and people I saw when I got the negative scanned onto the computer screen. Date Source originally posted to Flickr as 1938 in Temagimi, Ontario Author Father of Don O'Brien Permission
