Balloon Ascent by Mr Sadler, 1823 (Mr Sadler's Ascension from the Crescent, 13th October 1823)

Picture cropped from Japanned tin tray souvenir of balloon flight event in October 1823. Launched from the canal side Crescent in Birmingham, the coal gas-powered flight was piloted by Windham Sadler, son of England's first balloonist, James Sadler.
