Jervis, H. (1834) Narrative of a journey to the falls of the Cavery; with an historical and descriptive account of the Neilgherry Hills. Smith, Elder and Co., London.
- "The sketch of the officers' burial ground, which is too well filled with tombs and monuments to the departed, was taken from the cavalry brigade ground. The two high pillar-like monuments are erected to the memory of some officers of his Majesty's 13th Light Dragoons. This gallant corps, so distinguished at the battle of Albuera, and other places in the Peninsula, has been stationed at Bangalore since the year 1819."
