Die Alzette ist ein 73 km langer Zufluss der Sauer in Frankreich und Luxemburg.
Das Gewässer entspringt nahe dem Ort Deutsch-Oth in Frankreich (frz. Audun-le-Tiche, Département Moselle), fließt von dort nach Norden und durchzieht das Großherzogtum Luxemburg von Süd nach Nord. Es fließt unter anderem durch Esch, Hesperingen und Luxemburg, durchfließt den Stadtteil Pfaffenthal, wird dort von der Großherzogin-Charlotte-Brücke überspannt und mündet schließlich bei Ettelbrück in die Sauer.
Die Alzette wird in der Luxemburger Nationalhymne besungen.
