File:Astoria Amsterdam 3.jpg
The Astoria building (1904/05) at Keizersgracht 174-176 in Amsterdam, at the intersection of the Keizersgracht and Leliegracht canals. This Jugendstil building was designed by Gerrit van Arkel and H.H. Baanders as the offices of the life insurance company Eerste Hollandsche Levensverzekerings Bank. In more recent years, it served as headquarters of Greenpeace. In 2001 the building received rijksmonument (national monument) status. Note the spire of the Westerkerk church on the left.
