Engraved by James Tingle (1801-1858) from an original study (now in the Museum of London) by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, the master recorder of nineteenth-century London. Originally produced for Shepherd's part-work series "London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century" (London 1829-1832).
