Fehrenbach, Constantin
geb. am 11. Januar 1852 in Wellendingen (Baden),
gest. am 26. März 1926 in Freiburg i. Br. .
Nach dem Studium der Theologie und Rechtswissenschaften arbeitete Fehrenbach seit 1882 als Rechtsanwalt in Freiburg i. Br. .
Seit 1903 wirkte er als Abgeordneter des Zentrums im deutschen Reichstag. Im Juni 1920 zum Reichskanzler berufen, führte er ein von der Sozialdemokratie toleriertes Minderheitskabinett.
Da er keine Zugeständnisse in der Entwaffnungs- und Reparationspolitik der Alliierten erreichte, wurde er am 4. Mai 1921 zum Rücktritt gezwungen.
