Deutsch: Schwefel schmilzt bei Verbrennung zu einer blutroten Flüssigkeit (oben). Die dabei entstehende blaue Flamme (unten) wird idealerweise in der Dunkelheit beobachtet. Das abgebildete Schwefelstück ist ein Überrest aus dem Claus-Prozess.
English: When burned, sulfur melts to a blood-red liquid and emits a blue flame which is best observed in the dark.
