The Canadian Coast Guard maintains the front light in good condition, but after years of neglect, the rear tower has greatly deteriorated. Broken windows have exposed the interior to the weather and nesting birds.

The Cape Tormentine Community Development Corporation has been seeking to assume ownership of the range lights.
