Woodland Cemetery on NRHP since March 1, 2002. At 1020 S. Fifth St., Quincy, Illinois. Cemetery and the town were founded by John Wood, whose grave appears at the right of the photo. Both were founded on hills overlooking the Mississippi River (center left of photo). Information signs at the cemetery state that the cemetery is unusual in that the land was left unlandscaped in its "wild" state - I think the photo illustrates this fairly well.
