Inaugurado a 17 de Setembro de 2005, o CCVF foi projectado de raiz para a apresentação de espectáculos de índole cultural.
Este espaço aberto à realização dos mais diversos eventos está equipado com dois auditórios: o grande auditório com capacidade de 800 lugares e o pequeno com capacidade de 200 lugares. O Antigo Palácio de Vila Flor igualmente restaurado em 2005 é ainda dotado de quatro salas de reuniões, uma área expositiva de 1000m2.
