The young man labors to lift a stone that bears crystals and gold, thereby breaking the soil. Beside the young man, the figures of Wisdom and Hope look on. Figures symbolizing Fertility of the soil, one bears maize and another strews flowers from a basket of poppies. Along with the mother and child help carry the sense of advancing agriculture.
