- Congleton Park lies in a meander of the River Dane. Entry is from Mill Green, (where Old Mill used to be), Park Road, St Stephens and Buglawton.
- It contains the remnants of Town Wood, ancient woodland mentioned in the Domesday survey of 1086, and handed over to the town in 1583.
