File:Coster Monument Haarlem.JPG
Picture of the Laurens Janszoon Coster monument in Haarlemmerhout park, Haarlem.
The Haarlem legend says that Laurens Janszoon Coster was the inventor of the printing press, not Gutenberg. There is also a statue of the man on the Haarlem Square in front of the City Hall. The park is a popular place for joggers and the trees in the foreground have been used as a place for graffitti for centuries.
This Monument was placed by the Haarlem mayor and council in 1823.
