I decided to go under the bridge to see if I could get a closer view of the lighthouse.
The Seal Island Bridge is located in Victoria County, Nova Scotia. It is an arch truss design and crosses the Great Bras d'Or channel of Bras d'Or Lake. With the third longest bridge span in the province, the Seal Island Bridge opened in 1961 as part of the Trans-Canada Highway project. It consists of eight steel truss spans: a main arch of 152 meters (500 ft), two side spans of 106 meters (350 ft), and five approach spans of 76 meters (250 ft).
