Badanganj is an ancient village of Goghat Police station of Hooghly district. The temple is a Navaratna or having nine pinnacled. There is extensive terracotta in the facade of the temple. The temple is known as Damodar temple, built in 1810 AD and belongs to the Barat family. The temple has stucco work too.
