The five piers visible in the foreground here, left to right:
- Pier 2, known after May 1, 1944 as Pier 51. Torn down early 1980s to expand the Washington State Ferries terminal at Pier 52 (Colman Dock).
- Pier 1, known after May 1, 1944 as Pier 50. Torn down early 1980s to expand the Washington State Ferries terminal at Pier 52 (Colman Dock).
- Pier A, known after May 1, 1944 as Pier 49. Shortened before 1944; in the circa 1970 remodeling of Pier 48 the over-the-water part was demolished; the land portion behind the bulkhead was incorporated into Pier 48.
- Pier B, known after May 1, 1944 as Pier 48. The pier shed was demolished in 2010; the pier itself is still extant 2023.
- Pier C, known after May 1, 1944 as Pier 47. Similar fate to Pier A.
