File:F4U And TBM Aircraft At Otis Field In August 1944.jpg
View of an inspection at Otis Field located at Camp Edwards in Massachusetts (USA), on 12 August 1944. Due to the "85-T-" markings on the Grumman TBM Avengers, the aircraft probably belonged to Carrier Air Group 85 (CVG-85) which would later deploy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Shangri-La (CV-38).
Visible are nine TBM Avengers, 16 Vought F4U Corsairs, and a single Grumman J4F Widgeon amphibian. In the background is a Lockheed PV-1 Ventura patrol bomber.
