Français : Image obtenue montrant la Nébuleuse de la flamme (ou NGC 2024), une région de formation d'étoiles dans la constellation d'Orion et ses environs, à 1300 années lumières de la Terre. En visible, comme sur cette image, le cœur de la nébuleuse est masqué par des nuages de poussière. La lumière colorée de la périphérie de la nébuleuse est due à des atomes d'hydrogène chauffés par des étoiles cachées par le nuage. Ces étoiles très jeunes sont visibles en infra-rouge.
