File:Flamingos At Mahul Sewree Mudflats Mumbai By Dr. Raju Kasambe.JPG
MMRDA has proposed build a Mumbai Trans-Harbour Link (MTHL) right from here, which will destroy the habitat of the thousands of Flamingos and other migratory birds. The most beautiful birding place in Mumbai will be no more. A possible little realignment suggested by Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS) is the best solution which can result into the bridge as well as maintaining the birds habitat intact. Only needed is a willingness of the officials towards the cause of environment.
