Description
English: Monument to Paolo Savelli. Roman patrician serving the Serenissima, who died in 1405; the urn, still Gothic style, is adorned with statues of angels and a Madonna and Child and is surmounted by the equestrian statue of the deceased, gilt and polychrome wood: this is the first dedicated to one of the captains of the Republic. The urn is attributed to the sculptor Rinaldino di Francia or to the school delle Massegne.

Patricien romain au service de la Sérénissime, mort en 1405; l'urne, de style gothique, est ornée de statues d'anges et une Vierge à l'Enfant et est surmonté par la statue équestre de Paolo Savelli, en bois doré et polychrome : celle-ci est la première consacrée à l'un des capitaines de la République. L'urne est attribué au sculpteur Rinaldino di Francia.
Italiano: Monumento a Paolo Savelli ; patrizio romano al servizio della Serenissima, morto nel 1405; l'urna, di stile ancora gotico, è ornata con statue di Angeli e da una Madonna con il Bambino ed è sormontata dalla statua equestre del defunto, in legno dorato e policromo: si tratta della prima dedicata ad uno dei capitani di ventura della Repubblica. La urna e attribuita allo scultore Rinaldino di Francia o alla scuola delle Massegne.
