- At the top (east) is the Ark of the Covenant and Jacob's ladder with King Solomon and King Hiram, who built the first temple at Jerusalem.
- At the right (north) are St George and the Dragon, and the arms of the Duke of Connaught and Strathearn (who was Grand Master when the hall was built).
- At the bottom (west) are Euclid and Pythagoras, whose 47th Problem is represented by three squares.
- At the left (south) is Helios the sun god on his chariot, the All-Seeing Eye and a five pointed star.
- The corner angels represent the four cardinal virtues: Prudence, Temperance, Fortitude and Justice.
- The Biblical text is from Chronicles I 17:12-14.
