They were located in the angle at 8th Street and 9th Avenue SE, opposite the Panquin service station, and are believed to be surviving structures from the Hudson's Bay Company post on the east bank of the Elbow River, opposite Fort Calgary. One was moved to the Calgary Brewing and Malting Company grounds in the 1930s. The other (Hunt House), now located beside the Deane House on 9th Avenue SE, was a private home until the 1970s, and became an Alberta Provincial Historic Resource in 1977.
