As at 2010, according to the IMF and World Bank, Iran has the 18th largest economy in the world by Purchasing Power Parity (~$830 billion GDP in 2009). According to a Goldman Sachs 2006-report titled "Next Eleven", Iran will be "one of the largest economies in the world" in the 21st century.
