English: Recreation of the colossal statue of Augustus deified that dominated the worship room of his temple in Tarraco. It is based on the fragment of the fourth toe of the left foot of a colossal statue –possibly of Augustus– from the first century AD (Inv. MNAT CAT-00-3146-1), located in the archaeological excavations of the Cathedral of Tarragona (2000-2003) and inspired by statues of similar typology.

Pencil drawing, digitally coloured, carried out by Cristina Toro, a 2nd year Illustration student at EADT with scientific advice from the National Archaeological Museum of Tarragona (Francesc Tarrats, Montserrat Perramon, Josep Anton Remolà and Pilar Sada) and with the assistance of Joaquin Ruiz de Arbulo, professor of archeology at the URV.
