Himmelskönig (Lokapâla) des Südens; Holz mit Farbfassung und Gold; Japan, Ende Kamakura-Zeit (1185-1333). Der Himmelskönig des Südens Zôchôten (sanskritisch „Virûdakha“), einer der vier Weltenwächter (shi-tennô), steht auf einem besiegten Dämon. Er hielt ursprünglich eine Lanze in den Händen.
