After a long litigation, finally when the judgement was settled, the birthplace of Jayadeva was near Bhubaneshwar, based on the 8th Ashtapadhi. It is about 80 kosa ,a distance measuring usage then. The museum houses the artefacts, excavated from the village. Unlike other memorial this place is serene, bedecked with Ponds representing the Chapters in the GeetaGovindam. Thanks to the well informed, dedicated, judge, they have recreated the large Garden, Udhyapanam with the plants, trees, creepers, ponds as they are narrated in the Kavyam. The Garden reverberates the Poet's vibration, the flora, fauna, full moon transporting us to an altogether different world. It is as if living through his times with Padmavathi dancing to his songs and the Lord Jagannath being the audience.
