File:Jose Rizal And Pio Valenzuela.jpg

This is the time when Pio Valenzuela went to Dapitan to have a meeting with Rizal about the revolution and to support the Katipunan, or the Kataas-taasan, Kagalang-galangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (KKK), a revolutionary group formed for the Philippines to gain independence from Spain.

During their meeting, Dr. Jose Rizal explained to Pio Valenzuela that the was not prepared to initiate a revolution against Spain, but Rizal suggested Antonio Luna who is a Filipino army general for the KKK.
