John Lennon's Orange Spectacles John Lennon ware these orange tinted spectacles whilst composing his legendary album Imagine. He believed that orange was an inspirational colour. The spectacles are made of 14 carat gold and use an early version of photo chromatic glass (a lens that reacts to light and dark surroundings) The orange lens would darken in bright light and lade in the shade however alter several years the tint has become fixed as the chemical in the glass loses its effectiveness over time.
