Text of the letter (English translation follows):
Palermo 2-2-905
(Dear Giosué, some sailors friends of mine made me notice that your Palermo colours are very utilized. Genoa has your, our colours. Yesterday Michele Pojero agreed with Mr Blak (sic) and Norman to change red and blue to pink and black. Michele says they are colours of bitter and sweet. Your results are as alternate as a Swiss clock. In the future, as Vincenzo Florio said at the La Stabile's Sport Club, when you lose you can always drink his coloured-black bitters, while you can taste the pink in the sweet liqueur. My health is not good anymore and I have many old age pains, so hurry up in beating the next teams.)
