View shows a portion of the front of the cinema, entrance doors (roped off) and ticket booth, advertisements for the currently-showing film The Rainmakers, accompanied by posters and mockups of Morton's Salt containers, apparently for a commercial promotion.

The theater was later demolished, and as of 1980 the location is now occupied by the Pan American Life Center, 601 Poydras Street.
Date 1935–1936 (Library of Congress).
English: Film The Rainmakers is listed by IMDB as being released 25 October 1935, making late 1935 the most likely date for this photo.
