Prospect Hill Cemetery was added to the Register of Historic Places of the District of Columbia (a listing of historic sites maintained by the city) in 2005.
A chapel was built on Chapel Circle in 1900. It lasted until at least 1950, but was later torn down. Pathways, a small brick plaza, and a circular garden surrounded by a low stone wall exist here now. A memorial plaque was placed in the garden in 1997.
