File:Lordship Lane At Moselle Bridge Looking West 1893.jpg
Lordship Lane at Moselle bridge looking west 1893. The former rural character of the lane is very clear in this view. The Broadwater Farm buildings can be seen on the left in the distance and the semi-permanent flooding of the lane in front of them is just evident. This was probably overflow from the farm pond which was fed by a culvert from the Moselle to the south (see maps). The Moselle itself crosses under the lane at the white bridge. The gas lamp by the bridge is noteworthy. By 1910 the land on the right (north) had been used to build the Tower Gardens estate.
