File:Los Angeles County Fairgrounds From United 41 (7177774100).jpg
And the fairgrounds in Pomona, at the eastern edge of the county, is where the nation's largest county has its annual fair every September. Just a few miles to the east of Pomona, for the record, is San Bernardino County, which also can claim the title of the largest county in the United States - by area (within Lower 48 only), stretching almost all the way to Las Vegas.
Just to the left of the fairgrounds is Brackett Field in La Verne, a key general aviation airport.
The I-10 is in the foreground, and the CA-210 freeway is also visible toward the back.
I'm only about 45 miles from LAX, and at about 10,000 feet altitude, by this point.
Enroute from Newark to Los Angeles.
