Mediterranean Steps is a path in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. The path was built by the British military but is now used by tourists who want to walk to the top of the Rock of Gibraltar. The path does not go to the highest point but givess access to Lord Airey's Battery which is a former battery that fire a shell into the Straits of Gibraltar, Africa, mainland Spain or into the Mediterreanean.
